Insomnia i’m facing:
Take the Homeopathic Remedy NUX VOMICA 30 half hour before bedtime in a sip of water, Nothing works better and its totally non addictive and will help you go to sleep without the use of any drastic tranqulizers or relaxtants with side effects. No Side Effects or Complications works like a charm.

Take Care and God Bless

Chamomile tea, kava kava root tablets, calcium tablets, Benadryl, analgesic — in any combination, and in any dose that’s recommended on the various packages.

If your main problem is an active brain that won’t shut off, mentally or verbally slowly recite a long passage of something you’ve memorized. Lists of the Presidents, lists of the State capitals, any of those things you had to memorize in school (if you’re American. If not, any list of stuff you had to learn in school to pass grade 5 or its equivalent.)

Be sure you have a good going-to-bed routine that calms you. It’s a good idea to shut off any elctronic entertainment (TV, movies, games, etc) and loud music 45-60 min before trying to go to sleep.

The main cause of insomnia is STRESS!!! So of course you have to use ways of relaxing your mind, body, and spirit. Some people meditate, or pray. Really either one of those are very similar. Take a warm bath, don’t eat for at least 4 hours before bed, also no rigorous exercise either. Listen to music or sounds that calm you, not necessarily while trying to sleep. You can do this anytime during the day or night when it’s convenient for you do. Relaxation techniques throughout the day/night will actually be better, because you will be less stressed at bedtime. Schedule a massage for yourself on a regular basis, based on your budget. Some massage therapists will work with you for a discounted price for multiple massage sessions. Limit your caffeine intake in general, but especially four or more hours before bed. One of the best ways is to improve your diet in general, less sugar, caffeine, and processed foods will give you more energy during the day, and deeper sleep at night. Go talk with a qualified person at a health/whole food store they can recommend different nutrients, vitamins, herbs, etc. Always remember to tell your Dr. about any alternative health approaches you are using. Herbs, and others supplements may cause reactions with Rx’s, or other supplements. Your Dr. should be open to Alternative treatments, and if he is not then find a Dr who is.
